Moving Moving!

My flatmates and I have been living in our flat for over a year now and the lawn has just been mowed for the first time. We also has a next door neighbours sheep Dolly comes to visit us, she has left a sheep track through the centre of the back lawn. We have 5 patches of lawns to mow and tree to prune also we have garden to weed, oven and kitchen to clean, give bathroom a make over and scrub oil spots on the driveway before we get our bond back. Crazy aye. Well we are starting to move our stuff into our new flat which is picture perfect. Kitchen and bathroom is brand new. My bedroom is like a matchbox but I'm really excited because I always have a large bedroom, I hope the smaller the bedroom is the less mess there is. We can walk to school now which is the best news every since we live to two in the morning here it's perfect to walk home and fall onto bed.

We'll we are moving on the weekend which will be hell busy but a lot of fun.

Cheers,

Costume Design

So in class at the moment we are trying to find work placement. I would love to go to a costume design business such as costumes for film theatre or any preforming arts. Weta Workshop would be amazing to go to be it is impossible to get work experience unless your immediate family works there.

My Aunty Michelle use to be a makeup artist and has connection to people that work at TVNZ so I hope that helps me, also I just found a lady today that would be perfect so I hope that could be an option.

We just got a new flat today which is really really close too school, it's perfect but a tad expensive but it's worth it for the location. We are moving out on the 3rd of November, right in the busy busy zone. O well we will make it work.

I've just finished 1 and a half of my assignments which is really good but the other half is due next week on Wednesday ow that's right I have one due this week too. Shit.

Wish me luck on my endeavours,

Cheers,

LIfe is a runway!

Today was hilarious, we have to make a video to advertise UCOL Fashion School and so my friend Michelle made our other friend called Emma and I pretend that we are on a runway, such as...
1. In an elevator
2. Walking down stairs
3. Busting through doors
4. Using the road as a runway
5. Walking over a pedestrian crossing in the day surrounded by public.
6. Molesting an unsuspecting woman on the phone.
7. Also she has got Emma practicing poses out of a magazine and I am clothes shopping and see something I like on a mannequin, so I find the dress and put the hanger over my neck and pretend to poses like the mannequin. Then I act as though the camera caught me and then strut my stuff away. Aw, what a hilarious day. It's due in soon I better get mine sorted.

Also my friend Ayla has done hers and we are acting crazily enthused to a song called Harder, better, faster, stronger. So funny!!!

Lyrics of my Life

Well as far back as I can remember listening to music I have always ended up replaying a whole album and I would eventually know every word to every song. Now I will start from the beginning to the most recent with little stories to go with each.

1. Anastasia (Not that kinda girl)
This was the first cassette that I owned on my own just for me after Whitney Huston, which had been traded for Celine Dion by my sister. I practiced that nasal sounds like no one you have ever heard. Thankfully I have re learnt how to sing properly, well good enough anyway.

2. P!NK (missundastood)
This album was perfect when I was 14 and spending New Years at Whangamata (Upper North Island) with my family. It was beside the beach and full of memories. Well, that was the New Years that I ended up slicing a chunk out of sisters heel from the bike she was riding, I can't remember how I did it but I do know that I got the blame. During that New Years I had my first kiss with some random (don't' do it, it was disgusting and all slobbery). I ran away from him just before new years because I was panicking that I had just caught Meningitis, I swear I was frothing at the mouth. For the rest of the sunny holidays up north I stayed inside the Bach perimeters listening to P!NK because I was to afraid to go walking around the streets in case he recognised me.

3. Kelly Clarkson (Breakaway)
This album worked well to express my feelings toward my ex-boyfriend, boy if he were in that room he would have had an ear full.

4. Brooke Fraser (What to do with daylight)
My sister was into this album and at first I thought it was pretty boring, she played it continuously so I began to understand the words, listen to her voice and then relate to the music. That's when I began to thrash my 4. album on this list. It's a really good album and Albertine is just as good.

5. The Killers (Sam's Town)
This was my first CD album of freedom because I moved out of home and spent time in my new flat dancing, singing and sitting on my veranda in the sun waving my arms in the air. There is nothing more precious than freedom.

6. Missy Higgins (Sound of White)
This album was my sisters so as the story goes I copied her, This album was thrashed at home with my family before I moved out but later on after I was living in the flat, my younger sister brought the Missy Higgins cassette for my car. Bad idea, that's my two and a half hour trip with no radio coverage from home to Wanganui sorted.

7. The Fray (How to Save a Life)
This went on the list just around middle of last year, great song great music, I don't have a story for this one but it brings out emotions. Good if you want to cry and to be greatful.

8. Missy Higgins (On a Clear Night)
This was one of my most recent albums, this was around the time that I realised that I would replay the same songs or album literally at least 20 times a day. Good or bad idea? You decide.

9. Kate Nash (Made of Bricks)
At this very moment I am listening to Skeleton Song which is one of my favourites. This album came to me through You Tube. I liked the song Foundation so I decided to find out what else Kate Nash had sung (now it's onto Nicest Thing). The song I would play 30 times in a row was the Nicest Thing and then I found Birds which I found hilarious. This lead me to Navy Taxi and Merry Happy. This was when I decided to get the album, that was a week ago yesterday. I have listened to nothing else but repeats, I think I will be giving this album the biggest hiding I have ever given.

One last all time favourite that everyone has to listen to once in their lives would be Lord of the Dance. I recommend this CD, cassette, VHS tape or DVD to anyone. Just let the music lift you off the ground and fly.

My Design Work at UCOL

We had to design a label that would represent you and your brand had to involve it's self in a specific area of fashion, so I chose pajama's. I love PJ's. We had to do a press release, poster of some sort, giveaway, pictures of what your new range and for it to be easy for postage.

Feel free to critique my work I would love to hear what other people think.

I love this poster that I made but the girl in the photo is out of the Oyster Magazine.

We had to design a brand and make up business card, fliers and all that jazz. I made finger puppet business cards.

We had to design a magazine advertisement and cover for 2020, I chose Anna Sui Flight of Fancy because it is my absolute favourite perfume.
I wanted to do Keria Knightley on the front of my cover because I beleive she has the look of being timeless. We also had to choose a magazine to study and and potray the look in 2020, which really isn't that far away, 12 years!

Flora and Fauna!

Enjoy!!!!!!!!
When I was at home I took photographs of our amazing flora and fauna.

I liked taking photo's of these honey bees.

It's amazing how hard they work to make our world b-e-a-utiful!

I like the brightness of this photo. I have a better one but it's not as colourful as this pretty one.

This is a photo of our chook paddock.

If I was a photographer I would take close up photos of flora and fauna. It's as though you can reach out and touch it.

Ahhh, it's about time for a nice Vino on the veranda watching the sun set.

Feel free to comment on these photographs I would love to hear your thoughts.

Dogs Big Day Out!

Today was an eventful day for our dogs.
You should already be acquainted with Dooley but I haven't introduced you to Spud our Whippet pup.
He's white with browny gray mixed spots with an intense amount of eyeliner smudged around his eyes. I have to tell him to stop stealing mine I swear he's got a hint of Tran in him.

The eventful day, well today was Neuter Day for Spudkins and for Dooley it was Cut Out Fleshy Lump Day.

Lucky for us it was Give Dooley A Wash Day too so he now smells pretty nice for an old fart.
The two have been under the knife today and when they came home they were very dopey, but that's good news for us because the first thing on Dooley's mind would be to get smelly again and the pups would be to climb all over you like my precious mum has taught him to do so well.

Spudkins, the lucky puppy got to spend an extra 15 minutes in surgery due to the fact the surgeons couldn't find one of the two most important reason why we are paying for this expensive snip.

I hope this has made you appreciated your mans family jewels and that there is three good reason to have children rather than dogs.

If you still don't know what the three reasons are it is 1. They don't wreak constantly, 2. You don't have to cut out their balls when they are young and 3. You don't have to pay for surgery that they won't be having.

Cheers,
